59,61 percent – that was the attendance result in Mikołów during the 2nd round of presidential election held on May 24. There were 31 758 persons entitled to vote and 18638 valid votes were cast. Bronisław Komorowski won 10178 votes (54,61 percent). His opponent Andrzej Duda won 8460 votes (45,39 percent).

Mikołów Municipality has gained subsidy from the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy to carry out the project entitled „Municipal programs for social and vocational activation for social housing”- edition of 2015. In the period April 22-24 Mikołów hosted a group of 70 guests from Holland and Canada, including 40 cyclists. The visit was organized within the undertaking called Frank Graham Cycle Liberation Tour 2015.
