The community of Mikolow and numeros guests geathered yesterday to celebrate  the 97th anniversary of regaining independence by Poland. This year?s commemoration of the National Independence Day started with the holy mass at St. Adalbertus basilica. Then Mikołów community and guests geathered at the main square. Town authorities and the delegates of Beuningen, Netherlands as well as scouts, firemen and school youth laid a wreath at the memorial boards. The event was ended with

The main aim of it is to select the best photographic work presenting in the jury?s opinion the best-kept and most beautiful place in Mikołów (be it a garden, square, yard, balcony, etc.). There were 174 projects from all over the Poland submitted in the competition, 4 of which were rejected due to formal reasons. Evaluation was conducted in several steps. In the period of September 1st to 15th public consultations on creating new administrative auxiliary units in Mikołów will be carried out.
